NYX to open first store in Mexico
American beauty label NYX is set to enter a new market. The L'Oréal-owned brand announced on Twitter this week plans to open its first physical store in Mexico in the near future, however it didn’t provide details such as the location or launch date of the new outlet.
NYX is currently available in the country through an ecommerce platform, and can be found at multi-brand retailers such as Bellisima and department stores chain Liverpool in cities including Mexico City, Aguascalientes, Cancun, Guadalajara, Playa del Carmen and Tampico.
Since the brand’s first venture outside of North America in 2015, its expansion has accelerated around the globe reaching a presence in over 70 countries, including Canada, France, Italy and Spain
It was acquired by L'Oréal in 2014, which last year introduced the first brick and mortar stores dedicated exclusively to NYX cosmetics. In 2016, the brand founded in 1999 by Toni Ko, opened new stores in Malaga and Sevilla, Spain, as well as a flagship store in New York. The label could also be on the verge of opening a new store in Chile.
The business reported annual sales growth of 4.7% last year.
